IAPS Networks

The Networks are interest and research groups formed by IAPS members. They carry out debates, discussion groups, publications, often posses their own website and organise symposia and conferences. For example, the Culture and Space in the Built Environment Network organised a very successful meeting in Istanbul in 1997, and the Spatial Analysis Network organised a conference on ‘Spatial Analysis in Environment-Behaviour Research’ in 1995 in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Find below a complete list of those currently operating within IAPS, and get in touch with them for more information!

New Network! Restorative environments

Main Topics it discussed:

The relationship between physical, spatial and experiential aspects that relate to psychological restoration and in turn to human health and well-being and to environmental protection efforts.

Design languages and processes relevant to the development of restorative environments.

Methodological approaches relevant to the investigation of the restorative effects of the external environment.

E-learning

E-Learning and Virtual Teaching of Environmental Psychology
Network founded in 2006 with the aim to exchange information
about e-learning and virtual teaching and to try to acquire funding
for a joint project on virtual teaching.
Liisa Horelli and Marketta Kytta are currently translating
their teaching package into English and trying a virtual course with
the so called EUNITE unitversities (5) after which they will try new
applications.
There will be an announcement soon about the proposed
